Chistmas Bonfire?

Unfortunately it hasn't been possible to organise a Christmas party as planned and proposed previously on this blog.
However, if the weather permits and we can get the wood together, who fancies a bonfire on the beach next Sunday afternoon? Throw in some mulled wine and mince pies and away we go.
Metcheck is currently showing next Sunday to be cold and sunny with little or no wind. This could obviously all change but we'll keep an eye on it during the week and make a decision nearer the time.
Any thoughts or offers of mulled wine etc?

Christmas Party & Club Hoodies

I know it's still November but the time has come to think about some kind of Christmas party for the Nippers. So far we have 3 options as follows:
  • Book the sports hall at Camelford for football, basketball, roller skating etc etc
  • Book the new party room at Splash for food, drinks and a swim
  • Book The Haven Cafe for food, drinks etc.
If anyone has any other suggestions they are most welcome to put them forward. Please can you contact Allan on allan.birt@btinternet.com to indicate your preference.
Obviously, it should be up to the kids as it's their party, so let's ask them.

Allan has got new stocks of surf club hoodies for sale. Please contact him to order.
Adults - £18.50
Kids - £13.50

We also have stock of T shirts which are now available for the bargain price of £6.00.
Please contact Allan for sizes available.

the pebble man

some words from the road via george (dr geebers)the pebble man :)

Hi all ive just made to Barry in south wales. Here everything looks promising. The woman that owns the hot food bar has already opened doors to me. Only to the disabled toilets and shes been giving me food and duvets. Her boyfriend was a celeb at one time and he became homeless. He has now got his life back on track. S...he thinks this is an incredable adventure I have taken on and is willing to contact as much press as they can. So it looks like the Geebers story is continuing to be a positive thing. POWER TO THE PEOPLE.

Swimming update....

A successful swimming session was enjoyed by the nippers at Camelford pool this morning. Unfortunately, due to the pool being booked for a function, there will no swimming session on Sunday 15th November.
The next session will be on Sunday 22nd November at 11:00 when we will try and have 2 lanes reserved for the nippers.

Swimming @ Camelford

So the sun has finally gone down on our summer, which means....nippers has relocated to the swimming pool. Rich and Pat are still keen to keep sessions going at the beach, for those with winter wetssuits and boots etc, when the weather permits. Keep an eye on this blog for updates.

Allan has kindly arranged for a swimming instructor (Mrs. Keens from Otterham school) to attend some of our Sunday morning sessions at Camelford Swimming Pool. She will attend every other week until mid December, which will equate to around 3 or 4 sessions. Allan has also booked a lane for the exclusive use of the nippers.
The first instructed swimming session will be on Sunday 8th November at 11:00am.

Cracky Blog Spot Opens For Business

Well folks, the Cracky Surf Club blog spot is now up and running. Feel free to leave comments and suggestions for the Blog Masters.
For those of you who weren't around these parts back in the old days this is the original club house. When men were men. We lived int shoe box int middle of road and ate gravel for breakfast. Aye, you were lucky you were......etc etc.
To be honest though it was fairly basic!
Anyway, please look back here regularly for updates and check for details of the Surf Club Social that is happening at the club on Saturday 30th May.
That's all folks.
